The Framework - The 2022 Update
This is the updated version of the Framework which was released in September 2022. It contains a review of progress against the original framework document (released in 2019)
This is the original plan released in 2019 outlining the strategy for 2020-2025.
Didsbury climate action plans
Every ward in the city has a climate action plan that has been developed by the council. We want to make sure that these plans truly reflect the needs of the community.
The plans are online:
We are not aware of any structured monitoring and evaluation of the plans.
These online plans replaced the previous ones from 2021-22. See below:
Manchester citizens assembly
In 2021 106 Manchester residents across 5 regions attended a citizens climate assembly to educate themselves about the climate emergency. They met for 5 weeks in small groups covering all aspects of climate issues then came together twice to produce a citizens mandate that was delivered to the council leaders. This is a link to the materials produced. The most interesting bits are the action plans (scroll down) which highlight the priorities that we identified by each of the area. See how well these match with your own priorities.
